Marking the 20th anniversary celebration, the company offered a unique opportunity for young participants, emerging companies or professional artists in partnership with host organisations to create new works inspired by past works from the repertory.
Seven pieces specially selected from the company’s extensive body of work were available for recreation and reworking. Particularly suitable for youth groups, postgraduate performance groups and emerging dance companies, these projects offered invaluable insight into Yael’s distinctive choreographic process, as well as providing opportunities for individual creativity and adaptation of the original work.
The finished works were performed as curtain raisers alongside the company’s performances of Weightless, and as stand alone touring works.
Commissions were tailored to group size and abilities.
