Hypermarket 2004

Hypermarket by Nic Sandiland. A performer is on stage holding a stick with a light at the end, pointed to the ground. A blue tinted image is projected onto the background.

A performance for three dancers and interactive video projection, based around a journey through the multi-layered landscape of London Docklands.

In the work a customised surveyors wheel, normally used to measure distance, was used as an on-stage sensor to link the movement of the dancers to the actions within a projected video.
